Le banquet gaulois di Matteo Ghidoni e Jean-Benoît Vétillard è stato costruito per l’edizione 2016 di Biennale Interieur a Kortrijk, curata da OFFICE, Kersten Geers, David Van Severen. Prima del concorso vinto avevo visto le foto scattate al modello da Fabrizio Vatieri e le banquet sembrava già inattaccabile, logico risultato di queste due immagini:

The banquet gaulois by Matteo Ghidoni and Jean-Benoît Vétillard was built for the 2016 edition of Interieur Biennale in Kortrijk, curated by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen. Before the competition won I had seen the pictures of the model shot by Fabrizio Vatieri and the banquet already it seemed unassailable, logical result of these two images:


Una immagine pop e una elusiva. Il banchetto che conclude ogni episodio di Asterix e il banchetto di un episodio di the Owl’s legacy (Chris Marker, 1989). Il fotogramma blocca come sempre un sottotitolo non casuale.
Nelle conversazioni degli ultimi anni c'è sempre un passaggio che sopravvaluta le serie televisive come strumenti di interpretazione del contemporaneo. Qui ci sono il 24° fumetto di Asterix; uno dei tredici episodi di Owl’s legacy; il primo episodio della seconda stagione di Fargo, di cui le banquet gaulois copia i lampioni dal set del Waffle Hut.

A pop image and an elusive one. The banquet that ends every episode of Asterix and the banquet of an episode of the Owl's Legacy (Chris Marker, 1989). The frame freezes as always a non-random subtitle.
In recent years conversations there is always a passage that overestimates the television series as a contemporary interpretation tool. Here are the 24th comic of Asterix; one of the thirteen episodes of Owl's legacy; the first episode of the second season of Fargo, from wich the banquet gaulois copy the streetlights from the Waffle Hut set.
